The book, Claire the Little Girl Who Climbed to the Top and Changed the Way Women Dress, was written by Debra Scala Giokas and illustrated by me, Mary Ryan Reeves. The piece is to celebrate Claire McCardell, the foremost influencer on fashion in the 20th century. I loved sharing this modeling experience with my granddaughter Maple, who turns six next week.
